As far as great Canadian songs, I dare you to argue this isn’t right up there with Hallelujah, Heart of Gold, and If You Could Read My Mind. This is the kind of performance I live for. Annie is a certified mental case; and it’s pure joy to watch her delirium make its way through the crowd. The track is a few years old but I can’t think of a better musical ambassador for my country. Young, sexy, adventurous, fearless, on fire, and the perfect blend of Euro art and all American f*** you. That’s my Canada.
In my perfect world, every single song on the radio would sound like Ccut Up. So to all the great musical moments Canada has produced… Both Sides Now, Songbird, all of Jagged Little Pill, Little Darlin’, The Weight, Takin’ Care of Business… To that amazing hall of fame, please add: Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo.
