It’s okay to throw in some retro tonight right? It’s late and I had a long day and I really, really don’t feel like thinking. That’s why I plugged in this classic track by Cocteau Twins. I felt somewhat cheated and betrayed however when I realized that the lyrics were in fact real words and not gibberish like on their massive cult hit album Treasure, which I am positive gave birth to Cirque du Soleil btw. Thankfully, I can’t make any sense out of these so I am hugely relieved.
Fire it up. I love that 80s alt rock sound. So Bowie inspired… but sounds a lot like Siouxsie, Echo and the Bunnymen, even The Smiths. Enjoy what is left of this magnificent, bewildering Tuesday. Tell me how yours was enlightening and offered a clear path to tomorrow.
